Thailand has a program called One
Village (Tambon) One Project. Ko Yo's project is cotton weaving. Ko Yo is a
small island in the deep south of Thailand on the Gulf of Thailand and was not
affected by the Tsunami. The cloth we saw here is multi harness pattern weaves.
There is a gentle clacking sound as the looms are operated. Ko Yo also has an
excellent folk lore museum.
